Get out with your camera and find interesting letters.
Did you know that typography is one of the oldest forms of design? It dates back to ancient times when people first started writing and carving letters into stone, wood, or metal.
Typography is the design of letters of the alphabet. There are lots of different styles of letters -fancy swirly ones, simple ones for easy reading, and playful ones for fun. Each style of letter has its own look and feeling.
Go for a walk with an adult, and try to find as many different styles of letters as you can.
Take a camera with you, and take a photograph of every letter you find.
The letters might be on street signs, shop names or posters, or they might be carved into the stones of buildings.
